Many thanks to the GPP team! Anne & Jessica, thanks for being their for us. The training has reinforced our understanding about GPP guidelines and more so how to engage different stakeholders at different levels.
SylviaMemberIn our communities we have not yet encountered this kind of protests that affect study participants in relation to recruitment and retention. But i agree with my colleagues that we need a management plan to mitigate such unforeseen cases. Back in our communities we were affected with floods and the roads were cut off. Participants were resettled in different areas by the government, but as a site we redesigned our strategies to ensure participant safety by closing working government officials.
SylviaMemberYes the increased drug use in our communities has impacted the way we engage the young people; in a sense that a lot of multidisciplinary approaches have been devised by different NGO’s. Many NGO’s are struggling to find out why the young people are using drugs? SylviaMemberThanks for the information

I imagine this may give a platform for the study staff to deal with the may be existing myths and misconception. Once they are brought on board, then it levels the ground for other trials in the community
SylviaMemberI agree that it important to involve them in developing messages throughout the whole cycle of the trial
SylviaMemberI agree that it important to involve the stakeholders in developing key messages for the trial because it gives them an opportunity to own the study. Thus they will be even more supportive during result dissemination, no matter the outcome.
