Mark and James, you are right. Without stake holders, a trial can hardly succeed. Grant makers should find ways of making stakeholders ”happy”
MosesMemberAt my work place, we strongly work in partnership with the International Partnership for Microbicides and Medical Research Council a trial implementing organization for IPM-HIV Prevention Ring. Our work involves active engagement of key stakeholders. In our setting, religious leaders, political leaders, cultural leaders, and key opinion leaders are key in this aspect . We have hard a meaningful engagement with them and so far, we have not met any resistance . The bottom line is that we have engaged these parties right from project inception.

I am more than convinced that this forum will help us get equipped with knowledge and skills that we shall use to further our work. This course is so timely for us.
MosesMemberIts Moses saying a big hullo from Uganda to everyone who is here. I am a program coordinator working with CHEDRA (Community Health, Empowerment, Development and Relief Agency) in Uganda. We are glad with the partnership we have with IPM for the IPM -HIV prevention ring.
My curiosity in HIV related research started during my internship with Rakai Health Sciences Program in based in rural southern Uganda. Since then I got involved with several HIV research bodies . I am anxious about the what GPP has for me. I am sure I will become a changed person in view of conducting clinical trials and community engagement.
I more than open to sharing knowledge and ideas.
Thank you all.
MosesMemberGreat! Great for me to associate with great minds over the word. Thanks Ann.
