I appreciate Mathias’ and Laura’s comments about confusion and misconception. I was at a meeting with community stakeholders from all over the world this weekend, and so many of the stories I heard made me think of this module – stories of stigma, denial,and  lack of awareness/knowledge among IRB members, among others. It so clearly emphasized the importance of broad stakeholder engagement from the earliest stages of trial development and on!
