I am a social scientist by training and have worked on HIV prevention research and programs, mostly in China, for the past 15 years. I would like to make sure that trials of new HIV prevention products, particularly any that may take place in China, recognize the importance of stakeholder engagement broadly and engagement of the community more specifically. My learning goal for this course is to become an eloquent advocate for GPP within HIV prevention trials and to develop a strategy and workplan through which to develop a robust stakeholder engagement strategy.
