We majorly  base on influence, interest and investment the stakeholder may have in relation to our study. What kind of people are we interested in that we believe are essential for promoting the interests of our research. Normally we draw from our inventory list of stakeholders we have worked with and continue to have good relations with. Very many individuals are always willing to work with us but basing on our experience with  the community, we always assess by attaching power, influence and investment into our research. importance is attached in relation with the levels scored by each identified stakeholder according to the scaling. This helps us come up with an approach and framework of how to work with each of them effeiciently and effectively.

Stakeholder engagement is key priority for us before any activities commence. You always want to have someone on your side whose opinions can relate with the majority of the people your interested in.It makes implementation of project tasks easier and much faster. The challenge is how far should we  engage them.To what level ? The problem is sometimes they want to be the face of the study. They feel they should participate in everything. It becomes their agenda over the overall project objectives if not properly monitored.

The  knowledge About GPP varies among team members but the practices tied to the principles are evident if you observe how members carry out their tasks and duties. The community team is well versed with the concepts ,the flow of procedures for example how to go about with recruitment for a new study, who to talk to first, who to bring on board, how to create rapport in order to strengthen ties but this may change in other departments.Perhaps it should be a requirement for all individuals involved in research activities.

I think it all begins at the recruitment level. What exactly are we telling these participants?Participants need to know what exactly they are getting themselves into when it comes to Clinical trials. We ought to  give them enough study information so that they willfully enroll.short of this,we are likely to attract individuals whose expectations we may fail to satisfy and surely they will drop out of the study.

Community events like sports competitions is another good way of creating awareness about project purpose and goals amongst the would be participants in target recruitment areas. Its another way of bringing a vast number of stakeholders which opportunity is very ripe for disseminating vital information and facts about the real intentions of the project.
