At the conclusion of this training, participants should be able to:
- identify at least one reason why using stigmatizing language affects treatment outcomes.
- utilize harm reduction interventions and tools in the assessment and treatment of substance use and co-occurring disorders with young people.
- integrate harm reduction practices within the provider’s routine clinical work with youth.
- identify at least two ways that countertransference is important to pay attention to when working with young people and drug use.
