Training Overview:
This workshop explores boundary setting and disclosure between people who use drugs and providers within a harm reduction framework. The workshop will provide guidance and ‘best practices’ for identifying boundary issues and boundary violations in their daily work with participants. In addition, the function of individual and group supervision will be discussed, in relation to improving engagement with participants by identifying and setting personal and professional boundaries; alongside examining potential transference issues. Goal: Participants will learn how to establish personal and professional boundaries and avoid transference issues with people who use drugs.
