I have been working in clinical trials for over 8 years. I joined Setshaba Research Centre (SRC)in 2006 as a Recruiting officer, later on became the Supervisor for other Recruiting Officers. I grew in the role to a point where I was appointed as an Assistant Community Education Officer. I am currently a Community Liaison Officer at SRC. Some of the studies I feel I contributed greatly on include the Female Pre-exposure prophylaxis (FEM-PrEP), Follow-on African Consortium for Tenofovir studies 001 (FACTS 001), and many others. I have contributed much in terms of liaison between the SRC and the communities that support the SRC and also participate in clinical trials. In short, I have been a role player in areas such as stakeholder relations and management, community engagement and recruitment.
