Charles Kilel is a Community Educator at KEMRI/Walter reed Project, Kericho, Kenya he is also the site CAB staff Liaison, he was also the Community Liaison in for Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision mobilizing uncircumcised men through community elders for VMMC uptake. As a CAB staff Liaison he is the link between the site and various community stakeholders, through this mechanism he attempts to create a supportive environment for research so as to support scientists develop HIV prevention tools. He is a passionate HIV prevention advocate and a CoP member. His main work is recruitment and retention of study participants. Prior to joining Walter Reed Projection he worked for Kenya's Ministry of Health in HIV and AIDS advocacy which involved spreading the HIV prevention messages in schools since care and treatment was not available in the country those days. Charles was also national trainer in a DFID funded Primary School Action for better Health.
