Katherine, you made a good point when you stated that the trial team should discuss what happened with future trial participants. That is something that I did not immediately think about when forming my response. Indeed, anyone interested in participating in a trial will have heard about it and likely be expecting an explanation so that they will feel that it will be safe to join a study.
