I am Baraedi Winnie Sento. I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work, obtained from the University of Botswana. I have over ten years of work experience with HIV and Health related projects in the areas of: project implementation, programme management, monitoring and evaluation, and research. I am currently employed by Tebelopele Voluntary Counselling and Testing Centre as a Project Manager for the Ya Tsie study. Ya Tsie Study, also known as the Botswana Combination Prevention Project is a research study commissioned by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Centres for Disease Control (CDC) and Botswana Harvard Partnerships (BHP). The aim of this study is to find out whether a combination of strengthened HIV prevention methods can prevent the spread of HIV in a community better than those offered individually today. My role as the Project Manager involves, among other things is to provide the overall coordination for technical and operational management of the HIV Testing and Counselling, and Linkage to Care components of the Ya Tsie study. I am also responsible for the overall management of HTC and Linkage to Care study operations in the 15 combination prevention communities.
